Diploma in Plastering Construction

Your time will be spent mainly in a practical environment and includes: demonstrations, practical workshops, theory, assignments and project work. Areas of work include: applying Plaster materials to external surfaces, positioning and securing fibrous plaster components, fixing components for Basic Dry lining, applying Plaster to internal surfaces, and laying floor screeds to fall/levels.

Entry Requirements

2 Years - 4 GCSEs at grade 2 or equivalent Level 1 / Entry 3 qualification.
Real interest and commitment are essential.

Assessment/Exam information

Diplomas confirm your ability to carry out a task to national standards set by
employers representing the whole of the Construction Industry.

Diplomas are assessed by:

- Observation of your work, the models you produce and moulds run
- Accreditation of prior learning
- Questions asked of you at a time and place that meets your needs
- Completion of job knowledge and learning packs
- An end practical synoptic test
- External Multi-Choice test.

All assessment is continuous and an integral part of the training process and takes place throughout the whole course year.
