Level 3 BTEC Award in Education and Training

The course covers topics such as: the roles and responsibilities of teachers in terms of the teaching cycle, teaching and learning approaches, session planning, how to deliver inclusive sessions, the use of different assessment methods and record keeping. An ideal introduction to teaching. This course is delivered via blended learning and will be a combination of attendance on approximately six Tuesday evenings, online course materials, 1 to 1 tutorials and online tutor support.

Entry Requirements

Candidates should hold a level 2 in English and Maths or be willing to work towards them. For progression purposes, candidates require a level 3 qualification in their specialist subject.

Course completion requires: four short assignments, 15-minute micro-teaches delivered to the peer group and a reflective journal.
