ESOL courses

If English is not your first language, you can take a course to help you improve your skills and confidence. These courses are called ESOL, or English for Speakers of Other Languages.

These classes are relaxed and friendly, with qualified and experienced teachers. You will work on speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary.

Most of our courses run from September to June and you can attend in the daytime or evening. We have some 15 week courses on 3 or 4 afternoons a week.

As a student at Swindon College, you will be able to use the many learning facilities that the College offers, including the library and internet access.

Entry Requirements

No formal requirements. However, an initial interview and assessment is required.

Pen, lined paper, ring binder

Assessment/Exam information

You will have the chance to take exams in Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing at a suitable level.
