Certificate in Understanding End of Life Care

This level 2 qualification is designed to provide staff, volunteers and carers with knowledge and understanding relating to the care of people as they reach the end of their life. The course also provides information on the influence of positive communication methods, issues around the use of medication and the importance of providing individuals with the appropriate activities.

Delivered in the workplace, you will be provided with learner supported materials that will give you the knowledge and understanding required, enabling you to undertake the end of unit assessments. The learning materials are flexible and can be completed at time convenient to you. You will also have the support of a knowledgeable assessor throughout the duration of the course who is available for advice and guidance.

Entry Requirements

You must be aged 19+ and have lived in the EU for at least the last 3 years.

Assessment/Exam information

These courses are delivered to candidates with a dedicated assessor to support learning and conduct assessment. Candidates can be expected to complete the course within 3 - 6 months.
