Maths GCSE

This course is intended for students aged 19+ who wish to achieve a GCSE in mathematics in one year. This is an intensive course requiring commitment, hard work and a further one to two hours each week for studying and homework, in addition to weekly classes.

The course follows a linear format, where exams are taken at the end of the course. Classes are 2.5 hours long and run for around 33 weeks. We offer daytime classes and several evening classes, so that students who have work or family commitments can attend on a day that fits into their schedule.

Courses are free for all students who do not already have a GCSE or O Level at grade C and above or 4 and above (subject to eligibility criteria).

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements, although students would have to demonstrate the ability to cope with this level of course.

What do I need to bring?

Pen, Paper, scientific calculator and geometry set

Assessment/Exam information

Exams are taken at the end of the year – Normally end of May/ early June and consist of 3 papers.

What can I do next?

By gaining this qualification you could progress onto a number of different vocational courses. A GCSE is also a requirement of many employers.
