BA (Hons) Graphic Design

Art Worker; Graphic Designer; Web Designer; Copywriter; and various roles allied to the Creative Industries and image creation which could include advertising, marketing and journalism.

Entry Requirements

All applicants will be asked to submit a digital portfolio and will be invited to attend an interview.

You need to have at least one of the following Level 3 qualifications:

-Diploma in Foundation Studies (Art & Design)
-Access to Art & Design
-National Extended Diploma in Art & Design
-Two A Levels at Grade C or above in appropriate subjects
-Five GCSEs grade C or above, including English.

Equivalent Level 3 qualifications will also be considered.

Direct entry into the second year of the programme will be considered for students with an HND or HNC in an appropriate subject.

Swindon College welcomes mature applicants who do not meet the academic entry requirements, who have a genuine wish to succeed and can provide evidence of relevant work-related experience. All applicants are required to attend an interview where they will be expected to bring a portfolio of project work.

Students will need to maintain their own set of materials and equipment to support their creative practice.

Assessment/Exam information

You will receive expert tuition from well-qualified and experienced tutors.

Assessment methods involve formative and summative strategies leading to a positive learning methodology with written feedback on all assessed work.

All work submitted for assessment will be marked and returned with feedback within four weeks.

The course is organised into three years. Each year comprises of interrelated modules emphasising approaches to producing Graphic Design solutions with creative flair and consistency.
