The course encourage experimental techniques of 3D design, supporting skills for self-employment and promotion, and may lead to a variety of employment opportunities within the Creative Industries.

Entry Requirements

48 UCAS Points.
You need to have at least one of the following Level 3 qualifications:

-Diploma in Foundation Studies (Art & Design)
-Access to Art & Design
-National Extended Diploma in Art & Design
-Two A Levels at Grade C or above in appropriate subjects
-Five GCSEs grade C or above, including English.

Equivalent Level 3 qualifications will also be considered (equivalent qualifications should be worth a minimum of 120 UCAS points).

Swindon College welcomes mature applicants who do not meet the academic entry requirements, who have a genuine wish to succeed and can provide evidence of relevant work-related experience. All applicants are required to attend an interview where they will be expected to bring a portfolio of project work.

What do I need to bring?

A pen, pencil and paper to make notes. Other specialist equipment and materials may be needed as you progress through the course. These will be discussed at interview stage.

Assessment/Exam information

Students must achieve a minimum of 120 credits (of which at least 65 must be at level 4) on their programme of learning to be awarded a BTEC Level 4 HNC and a minimum of 240 credits (of which at least 125 must be at level 5 or above) to be awarded a BTEC Level 5 HND.

The assessment of BTEC Higher National qualifications is criterion-referenced and evidence must be made against published learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
