Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing

The VCTC Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing is a technical level qualification aim at learners who are in a full time Level 3 education programme and wish to pursue a career as an employed and/or self employed hairdresser/stylist. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but in order to optimise their chances of success, a learner will ideally hold a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in hairdressing.

Entry Requirements

Students must hold a current L2 qualification and, ideally, be working in the industry.

You could be entitled to have your fees waived if you are aged 19-23 and do not have a full level 3 qualification or you are aged 24+ and unemployed. What do I need to bring?

Notepad and pen. *See under fees. You may be required to supply models/clients for practice/treatments on during sessions.
All studnets will be expected to gather and bring in clients,however,the college will support and endaviour to help find models.All modles must go through our booing system

Assessment/Exam information

Assessment of practical skills is continuous throughout the course allowing students to work at their own pace. A portfolio of evidence is obtained by completing a number of assignments and written/oral questions.

What can I do next?

You may wish to progress onto further qualifications such as the A1 Assessors Award in a salon environment.
