Professional Food and Beverage Service

The emphasis of the course is on Food Service but can also cover a combination of roles in Food and Drink Service or Reception.
Includes Customer Care, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Practical Food and Drink Service, Practical Food Service Theory, Communication Skills.

Entry Requirements

2 Years - 4 GCSEs at grade 2 or equivalent Level 1 / Entry 3 qualification.
1 Year - 3 GCSEs at grade 3 or equivalent Level 1/2 qualification.

Assessment/Exam information

Assessment of practical skill is by observation in the restaurant, bar or real work environment. Students keep a record of their work in practical and theory sessions. Help is available in assembling this portfolio evidence. There will be externally set tests for Functional Skills and technical certificates.

Level 3 Diploma in Food & Beverage Supervision or a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision or employment.
