Technical Certificate in Healthcare, Care and Childcare - Level 2

Our Level 2 is designed to provide you with technical and practical skills and knowledge in the industry.
The course is delivered over one year and you will study subjects covering all aspects of healthcare, care and childcare.
Each week you will have the opportunity to engage in practical activities such as planning nutritional meals for different age groups, planning activities to support children's development and working with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, planning and carrying out risk assessments, understanding the factors that impact on health and development and supporting the health and healthy living in healthcare, care and childcare.

Entry Requirements

3 GCSEs at grade 3 or equivalent Level 1 / 2 qualification to include Maths and English Language.

You could be entitled to have your fees waived if you are aged 19-23 and do not have a full level 2 qualification or you are aged 24+ and unemployed. Pen, Pencil, Notepad & A4 Folder and Dividers.

Assessment/Exam information

During your course, your lecturers will plan ongoing assessments in preparation for one externally assessed assignment and one exam, both which must be passed to achieve the qualification. You will also be required to produce a portfolio evidence of employer involvement/work placement.

Other information

All students will study maths and English as part of your study programme. The level will depend on your GCSE grade.
