The course is primarily undertaken to enhance employment and earning potential for those in the field of architecture, surveying, quantity surveying, and local authority work or those working in design and production roles within the construction industry.
Completion of the course can enable further study to degree level, and lead to careers including Town Planner, Housing Inspector, Site Manager, Building Technician.

Entry Requirements

Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths at grade C or above, plus a relevant Level 3 qualification such as:
• National Certificate in Construction and the Built Environment
• National Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment
• GNVQ Advanced or Vocational A Level in the Built Environment and Construction
• An approved alternative qualification such as relevant A-Levels

What do I need to bring?

Notepad/paper, pen, pencils, calculator (mobile phone is not acceptable for this).

Assessment/Exam information

This programme is awarded by Edexcel and delivered by Swindon College.

Assessment methods involve formative and summative strategies leading to a positive learning methodology with written feedback on all assessed work.

Other information

During the course you will receive expert tuition from well-qualified and experienced staff. Within the college, you will also have access to a range of facilities; i.e. Library, IT Centre, etc.

What can I do next?
