Graduation day programme


Graduation day takes place in three locations in central Swindon. Click here to view a map of the locations. Guests can then either walk or drive to Swindon College's North Star campus for the celebration buffet.

  1. Gowning & photography: Jurys Inn, Fleming Road, Swindon, SN1 2NG
  2. Ceremony: Holy Rood Church, Groundwell Road, Swindon, SN1 2LU
  3. Celebratory Buffet and entertainment: Swindon College, North Star Avenue, Swindon, SN2 IDY

Timings and locations


The Jurys Inn Hotel, Swindon

The Jurys Inn Hotel10am-1.30pm

Students arrive from 10am to:

  • Register
  • Collect tickets
  • Pay for any extra tickets ordered
  • Have gowns fitted
  • Attend optional official photography session (pre-booked or bookable on the day).

There will be bar drinks and snacks available to purchase on the day at the hotel. (Go to Useful Information for more options on where to eat and drink in Swindon).

VIPs and Graduands walk in procession to the church at 1.30pm.
 

Holy Rood Church, Swindon

Holy Rood Church
2pm-3.15pm

Guests, friends and family will be seated at Church before the ceremony starts at 2pm. There will be an official Swindon College photographer. These photos will be used for the purposes of promoting and celebrating this ceremony only, however, photographs may appear in Swindon College publicity materials. Please notify our photographer on the day if you do not wish to be photographed.

 

Swindon College Campus

Phoenix Building3.30pm-5pm
The day finishes with a celebratory buffet at the Swindon College campus at North Star. This will be the opportunity to relax, chat and celebrate your success with friends, family, classmates and staff. There will be a light buffet and refreshments as well as entertainment for you to enjoy. This will also be the time to return your gown and collect your certificate, if available. If you are parking at the college campus for this event, parking will be free on the day.
