Level 3 - Early Years Apprenticeship

Debbie is studying a Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship programme at Swindon College.

Before coming to Swindon College, Debbie volunteered at a junior school. Having been made redundant from her job as a graphic designer, Debbie went back to college to complete her GCSE Maths to apply for a TA role. Unfortunately she was unsuccessful, but thanks to an opportunity from her current employer, Rascals, she is now studying her apprenticeship.

Debbie says,

My apprenticeship has been challenging but I have learnt so much, preparing me for where my skill set is going. I feel I have come far in just a year. As part of my role, I do a walking bus for children, making sure they walk safely to Rascals. I have also started as a breakfast club manager at Wroughton Junior School, and lead at the Little Lambs Toddler Group.

In the future, Debbie hopes to develop her role, complete her apprenticeship, and add to her skill set to go alongside the Level 3 qualification.
