Kojo chose Swindon College because it is close to his home and to work.  He juggles working Mon-Thu and college Wed-Fri and a family life so it was important to him to have somewhere he could get to easily.  He also said that Swindon College was the only one which offered closest to his progression requirements. He is finding the course iInteresting and enjoying it, and says that Swindon College has very good facilities.

Kojo said,

The course and the college location fits well with work and proximity to home.  I want to be able to understand how the machinery works that I use in my job at Tyco so that I can fix it when it breaks down.  I also feel that my employer will see the benefit too.

With a young family to consider, Kojo manages to spend time with them in between work and college and at the weekends, and he is able to drop them off at school on his way here.

Kojo intends to continue learning and hopes to progress to degree level.  He is currently in year one of a 2 year course, and hopes to continue here at Swindon College with the HNC/D programmes of study.

I would recommend Swindon College to others because for anyone who is planning a career in engineering, coming here can suit your circumstances.  Locality means that journey times are short, giving more time to be with my family, and it is also not too far from work.  The college has good facilities.
