Chloe Bedford

Level 2 - Diploma in Hairdressing Apprenticeship

Chloe came to Swindon College to do her apprenticeship because others from her salon, Bellavisa Hair and Beauty in Watchfield, had already successfully completed the apprenticeship here.  Chloe was already working at the salon on Saturdays whilst at school, and her boss encouraged her to stay on to take up an apprenticeship.

I am finding the course to be really good, everyone is very supportive, including both my tutor and my assessor who has really helped me gain confidence in my skills and ability.

Whilst working full time and studying one day a week, Chloe still finds time to help train Newfoundland dogs to be rescue dogs and to raise money for charities with activities that the dogs take part in.

I would definitely recommend the college and the apprenticeship to others who want to do hairdressing as their career.  The experience of having clients come in to use The Academy means that I have extra experience of dealing with the public, whilst knowing that there is someone on hand to assist if necessary.

Chloe hopes that she will continue to learn new skills outside of the apprenticeship and is already thinking about taking on the Level 3 course.  Chloe’s tutor is very pleased with her progress, as she is already 88% of the way through her course and has 6 more months to complete it.
