Welcome to Swindon College School of Art’s First Annual Young Photographer competition!

This year’s theme is “Reflections” which you can interpret in many ways.  We are looking for original photographs, where you have thought about the point of interest in a reflection – how will you interpret this?  Keep an eye on reflective surfaces and capture what they send back to you.  Your photos could capture other interpretations of the word reflections and it is up to you how you wish to portray the theme.

How to enter

The competition is open between 7th December 2018 and 5th April 2019 to all 14-18 year olds in the Swindon and Wiltshire area.

Please fill out the entry form and send it with your photograph to photography@swindon.ac.uk.

Winners

We are looking for 12 photographs in total.

The top 3 photographers will each win a prize of a half day workshop in our photography studios, an A3 framed print of their winning entry and vouchers for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes as chosen by the judges.

The 12 winning photographs will also be used to produce a calendar in support of local charity TWIGS (Therapeutic Work in Gardening Swindon).  TWIGS was formed in 1997 and has been working with people who are experiencing mental health problems by providing gardening and craft activities.

We look forward to receiving your entry and will be in touch 28 working days after the closing date (5th April 2019) to let you know if you are in the top 12.
